For real estate professionals · From John Gafford

An estimated 500,000 agents will be out of the business in the next 24 months. Here's how you're not going to be one of them.

We're not recruiting you to change companies. You don't leave your brokerage.

I've watched good agents take a "bridge job" to get through a slow market and never come back. Here's the alternative: a second business where you control your time, built on the skills you already have, working right from where you've always worked.

You keep your license, your brokerage, and your clients. Under 30 minutes, and you'll know if it fits.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Do I have to quit real estate, leave my brokerage, or take on a boss?

No, no, and no. We're not recruiting you to change companies. You don't leave your brokerage. This is simply another way to use the skills you already have, working right from where you've always worked. Keep your license, your brokerage, and your clients. You'd be an independent agent, an independent contractor running your own business. Not an employee of Insurance Clique or Family First Life. You set your own schedule. That's the whole point.

Do I have to switch brokerages or leave my real estate company?

No. We're not asking you to switch brokerages or change companies. Stay where you are. Your real estate business stays yours. This runs alongside it, on your own hours.

Will this pull me away from my real estate business?

It's built not to. You work it when you choose: mornings, evenings, the quiet weeks between closings. Real estate stays first whenever you want it to. Same brokerage. Same place you've always worked.

What does it cost?

Getting licensed in your home state usually runs about $100–$400 in study, exam, fingerprint, and license fees, depending on your state (California runs higher). Studying can be free. After you're licensed: E&O insurance (about $26/month or $355/year) and a free AML course. Leads are optional and a separate cost you pay, only if you choose to buy them. You'll get your state's estimate before you spend anything.

How long does it take?

About 3–9 weeks start to finish, depending on your state, how fast you study, and how long your state's background check takes. Then contracting usually takes a couple of weeks.

Do I need to be in Nevada?

No. We work with agents nationwide. You get licensed in your home state first, then you can add other states with non-resident licenses.

Do you give me leads?

Leads are optional and a separate cost you pay. There are several lead programs to choose from, and I'll show you how they work. Buying leads doesn't guarantee results, so you decide if and when. We'll also teach you how to farm your existing client base to help land your first deal.

Do I need insurance experience?

You'll need to study and pass your state's licensing exam. The course, boot camp, and weekly training are there to get you ready. What real estate already gave you, the conversations and the follow-through, is the part a course can't teach.

Who would I be contracted with?

You'd be contracted as an independent agent through Family First Life (FFL USA), with me as your upline. Insurance Clique is my independent agency, not Family First Life.

Why this exists

Your financial bridge between real estate markets.

I've been in this business 20 years. I built a brokerage to 600 agents, #2 in the market, doing 4,000 transactions a year. I believe in coaching. I believe in technique. They work.

But I don't care how good you are. When rates spike and transactions dry up, the market hits everyone.

And I've watched the same thing happen, cycle after cycle. Good agents take a bridge job to get through the slow stretch. The hours belong to someone else. The showings get missed. The sphere goes quiet. And when the market comes back, they don't.

That bridge job turns out to be a one-way street out of real estate.

Insurance Clique is the other road. A second business in life insurance that runs on what you already have: the sales skills, the follow-up, and the relationships. Every family you've helped buy a home has something to protect. We're not recruiting you to change companies. You don't leave your brokerage. You work it on your own schedule, right from where you've always worked, so it never pulls you out of the industry.

It's the bridge that gets you from one market to the next, with your real estate business still standing.

Don't take a job where someone else controls your schedule. This is a second business that keeps you in control of your time, on the same skills you already use, so you stay in real estate and bridge the gap between markets.

Stay in the industry.

We're not recruiting you to change companies. Keep your license, your brokerage, and your clients. Same skills, same place you've always worked.

Use your existing sphere.

You've already earned trust with the families you've served. Now you can help protect them.

Own your schedule.

Mornings, evenings, the quiet weeks between closings. No boss. No shift. Keep the ability to service your real estate clients anytime.

Leads.

Plug into Family First Life's lead system, where the marketing is handled for you, so you spend your time talking to people instead of chasing them.

Leads are an additional cost.

What you'll discover in under 30 minutes.

  • Why the bridge job quietly becomes the exit, and how a second business keeps you in real estate instead
  • The one conversation your past clients need after closing that almost nobody is having with them
  • What "independent agent" really means: a business you own, with no boss and no quota from anyone else
  • How carrier contracts and renewals work, including being vested day 1 in renewals

You'd be contracted through Family First Life (FFL USA) as an independent agent. It takes work. Results vary and aren't guaranteed.

Straight talk

This isn't for everyone. Good.

Good fit

You're a real estate pro who plans to stay one. You like people and you follow through. You'd rather build something you own than take a bridge job. You're willing to study and get licensed.

Not a fit

You want someone else to set your hours and tell you what to do. You're looking for a shortcut. You won't put in the study time. That's fine. Better to know now.

It takes work. Results vary and aren't guaranteed.

Who's talking

I'm John Gafford.

I've been in this business 20 years. I'm a broker, and I built Simply Vegas to 600 agents, #2 in the market, doing 4,000 transactions a year. I've coached agents through hot markets and ugly ones.

The ugly ones taught me the most. Not about technique. About what good people do when the market stops cooperating. This market is the hardest I've seen, and too many of them are leaving the business for a bridge job. I know, because it's happening to me. So instead of trying to fix it with eternal optimism, we're solving it with an actual solution.

So I partner with Eric Worre, founder of Network Marketing Pro and author of Go Pro, and Shawn Meaike, founder and president of Family First Life, one of the largest insurance marketing companies in the world, to build this exclusively for real estate agents. Together, we're creating the greatest training facility in the world — not another call center — right here in Las Vegas, destined to become the center of the insurance world.

I'm an independent agent contracted through Family First Life and the author of Escaping the Drift. Insurance Clique is how we help real estate pros build the same bridge. We'll tell you exactly what it takes, and our team supports you every week while you do it.
